## Liquids in carry-on

Varies

- At most departure airports, liquids, aerosols and gels must be in containers of 100 ml or less and fit into one transparent resealable 20 × 20 cm bag, with no more than 1,000 ml total.
- A small number of airports, including London Gatwick, permit larger volumes with newer screening equipment, so the departure airport's current rule applies.
- Baby food, milk and sterilised water are exempt up to 2 litres total; liquid foods such as soup remain subject to the normal limit.
