## Checked baggage

**Weight (standard limit per piece)**

23 kg / 50 lb

- Economy and Premium Economy pieces are limited to 23 kg / 50 lb, while Business and First use 32 kg / 70 lb; all classes use 158 cm / 62 in total dimensions including wheels and handles.
- First includes three pieces, while Business and Premium Economy include one or two and Economy zero to two according to the fare shown on the ticket.
- A lap infant normally receives one matching extra piece, except when the accompanying Economy fare has a zero-piece allowance.

## Overweight & excess baggage

- ANA adds all applicable extra-piece, overweight and oversize charges for one bag.
- On international journeys crossing two route areas, a further piece is USD/CAD 200, JPY 20,000 or EUR 150; 23–32 kg costs USD/CAD 60, JPY 6,000 or EUR 45, while 32–45 kg and 158–292 cm each cost USD/CAD 200, JPY 20,000 or EUR 150.
- More than 20 pieces, over 45 kg or over 292 cm is not accepted, and some listed airports cap each piece at 32 kg; aircraft limits can be lower.

## Liquids in carry-on

Varies

- For covered international departures, each liquid, aerosol or gel container is limited to 100 ml / 3.4 oz and all containers must fit in one completely closed transparent resealable bag of at most 1 litre and 40 cm across two sides.
- Medication, baby food and special-diet food have scoped exceptions; departure-country, transfer and duty-free rules can differ.

## Pets

### Pet transport

Varies

On eligible ANA-operated flights, accepted mammals and birds travel in the cargo hold after a phone reservation; pets are never cabin baggage and do not count toward the free allowance.

More details

- International charges per cage are JPY 40,000 / USD 400 / CAD 400 / EUR 300 between route areas and JPY 25,000 / USD 250 / CAD 250 / EUR 200 within one area.
- A cage reaching 292 cm total or a pet-and-cage combination over 45 kg is refused; destination, aircraft, documentation and seasonal breed restrictions also apply, and several destinations require Cargo.

## Special baggage

### Sports equipment

Varies

Listed bicycles, boards, golf, fishing, diving, racket and ski equipment can use the class's free piece and weight allowance.

More details

- ANA waives the oversize fee from 158 cm through 292 cm for sports equipment, but extra-piece and overweight charges still apply; above 292 cm is refused.
- Packing, aircraft loading space and early confirmation remain decisive, and individually packed ski components can each count as a piece.

### Musical instruments

Varies

An instrument fitting the cabin limits may use the carry-on allowance, while larger cabin instruments require a purchased seat and aircraft-specific confirmation.

More details

- Checked instruments use the normal allowance and fees; items over 203 cm through 292 cm may be accepted with an oversize charge when the aircraft can load them.
- More than 292 cm or 45 kg requires a cargo carrier.

### Medical equipment

Allowed

Mobility aids and approved medical devices are accepted subject to equipment, battery, aircraft and route conditions; an electric wheelchair must be described by size, weight and battery type when booking, with check-in at least 120 minutes before departure.

More details

- Contact the ANA Disability Desk before carrying or using CPAP and other transmitting devices.
- A MEDIF is required for onboard medical oxygen cylinders, a POC or respirator, a stretcher or an incubator.
